Bandai Namco is working on a fourth title in the fighting game series Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi. It is the first full-fledged game in the series since part three in 2007. It is unknown when exactly Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will be released.
The company announces the game in a short trailer, which was shared on Twitter. The video shows gameplay footage from previous Budokai Tenkaichi games on a CRT television, leading up to the reveal of part four.
In the trailer, few concrete details about the upcoming game are shared, apart from some short images of main character Goku followed by the lyrics ‘Get Ready For Battle’ and ‘A New Sparking Begins’. It is not known when Bandai Namco will share more details about the game, such as a release date or the platforms the game will appear on.
Budokai Tenkaichi 4 will be the big first game in the series since part three, which came out in 2007 for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii. Another spin-off for the PlayStation Portable followed in 2010 called Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team. These are 3D fighting games set in the Dragon Ball Z universe.
