Azure Storage customers in Western Europe are experiencing slow connections
Azure Storage customers experienced high latency and other performance issues with Microsoft’s storage service on Thursday. According to Microsoft, not every user is affected, only some of the customers in Western Europe.
Microsoft confirms the issues on the Azure status page. Customers face high latency, timeouts, and HTTP 50x errors. Services based on Azure Storage can also be hindered by this. Microsoft specifically mentions the use of virtual machines.
According to Microsoft, the slow connections are related to network problems, which impact access to storage systems. Microsoft is working to fix the issues, but can’t say when the slow connections will be a thing of the past.
