Aya Neo is working on its first Android handheld
Aya Neo is working on its first Android handheld. That has been announced by the manufacturer. Until now, the manufacturer only made handhelds with Windows. The handheld has a 5.5″ OLED screen.
Aya Neo positions the Pocket Air as a handheld for retrogaming, so according to the announcement. The handheld has a screen of 12.2×6.9 cm and a screen area of 83.4 square centimeters. This makes the 5.5″ OLED screen considerably smaller than that of almost all contemporary smartphones, which often have diagonals above 6.1″ and surfaces above 100 square centimeters.
The housing measures approximately 22.2×9.0cm, making it considerably longer and wider than a smartphone. This is mainly due to the wide border around the screen and the space available for the controls. The Pocket Air has two joysticks, a d-pad, a number of buttons and two shoulder buttons.
The screenshot shows, among other things, Super Mario Bros 3 and at the bottom are shortcuts for PlayStation, Xbox and the Play Store. It therefore resembles a highly modified version of Android. The device should be released this year. Aya Neo says nothing about exact specs, release date and price yet.
