Audio-Technica has released its ATH-CKS50TW earplugs. According to the manufacturer, these wireless earplugs have a battery life of up to 20 hours on a single battery charge. The earplugs have a suggested retail price of 169 euros.
Audio-Technica reports that the ATH-CKS50TW earplugs last up to 20 hours without active noise cancellation. If the noise canceling mode is enabled, the earbuds would last up to 15 hours on a single battery charge. Including the included charging case, the earplugs can last up to 50 hours, claims the manufacturer. In addition, the earphones must offer 90 minutes of listening time after 10 minutes of charging.
In addition to noise cancellation, the earplugs also get a kind of transparency mode that amplifies ambient sounds. Audio-Technica reports that the ATH-CKS50TW offers support for Sony 360 Reality Audio, a kind of technique for virtual ‘360-degree audio’. The earplugs also have a low-latency mode and an associated app with equalizer settings, among other things. The ATH-CKS50TW must also be splash-proof.
Audio-Technica writes that the earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2 with the Qualcomm aptX, aac and sbc codecs. The earbuds also support the Google Fast Pair function of Android and multipoint for connections to two devices at the same time. The ATH-CKS50TW will only be available in black.
