Audi shows Q4 e-tron concept SUV with a range of 450 kilometers
Audi shows a compact electric SUV at the Geneva Motor Show. The Q4 e-tron will have an 82 kWh battery and a range of 450 km according to the wltp standard. For now, it is still a concept, the car will go into production at the end of 2020.
Audi is building the Q4 e-tron on Volkswagen’s MEB platform. The electric SUV gets two electric motors that together are good for a power of 306 hp. There is all-wheel drive, but the emphasis is on the rear-wheel drive, with a 204 hp electric motor. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 6.3 seconds and the maximum speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h.
Charging the 82kWh battery is done with a maximum of 125kW chargers. According to Audi, the battery can be charged to 80 percent in 30 minutes. The four-door car is 4.59 meters long and has a wheelbase of 2.77 meters. On the inside is a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
The appearance of the concept version of the Q4 e-tron is very similar to the Audi e-tron, which will be launched this year. The final design of the Audi Q4 e-tron probably differs little from the concept version. Audi plans to release the production version by the end of 2020.
