Audi is showing electric supercar concept during Pebble Beach Car Week
Later this month on August 23, Audi will unveil a concept supercar with electric propulsion during the Pebble Beach Car Week 2018 in California. The abbreviated name for the Audi – Audi PB18 e-tron – refers to the location of Pebble Beach and the year of its debut. The name is also a reference to the Le Mans-winning R18 e-tron racer.
Some of the underlying technologies and details of that racer are used in the Audi PB18 e-tron, although in contrast to the R18 it is completely electric. The styling of the Audi PB 18 e-tron has been developed in the new Malibu Design Loft.
Pebble Beach
The prestigious Pebble Beach is held every August in and around the Californian coastal town of Monterey. The event is considered one of the most important venues in the world for fans who love beautiful cars. The show is not limited to vintage cars alone, but also includes leading concept cars and visionary technology.
Unveiling
Audi pulls the cloth of the PB18 e-tron supercar on the circuit of Laguna Seca on 23 August at 5 pm. The concept car can be seen a day later during the legendary vehicle presentation ‘The Quail’.
Audi will show the concept car again on August 25th at Laguna Seca, after which the supercar will be shown for the last time on August 26 for the last time at the Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach.
