Audeze introduces Maxwell gaming headset with 80 hours of battery life
Audeze introduces the Maxwell gaming headset. The wireless headphones have 90mm drivers and have a battery life of 80 hours. The Maxwell comes in a PlayStation version that costs $299, and an Xbox version for $329. The latter contains a license for Dolby Atmos.
Both editions of the Maxwell gaming headset can be used with Windows 10 and 11, macOS, Android, iOS and the Nintendo Switch. The Xbox Edition includes an official license from Microsoft and automatically activates the Dolby Atmos license on Xbox Series consoles. The PlayStation edition offers support for the Tempest 3D audio technology.
The headset comes with a USB-C dongle that supports ultra-low latency sound with an audio connection up to 24bit and 96kHz. That quality can also be achieved via the wired USB-C mode. Audeze has equipped the wireless headphones with Bluetooth 5.3 LE, which means the headset supports multipoint. The Maxwell can also handle the LC3, LC3plus, LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs.
The device has 90mm drivers with a frequency response between 10Hz and 50kHz. Audeze has installed a detachable boom microphone on the headset and has equipped the headphones with a 5-microphone array for noise reduction. There is also an AI filter that filters out noise during conversations, so that voice sounds even clearer.
