Audeze introduces the Maxwell gaming headset. The wireless headphones have 90mm drivers and a battery life of 80 hours. The Maxwell will be released in a PlayStation version for $299 and an Xbox version for $329. The latter contains a license for Dolby Atmos.

Both editions of the Maxwell gaming headset can be used with Windows 10 and 11, macOS, Android, iOS and the Nintendo Switch. The Xbox edition includes an official license from Microsoft and automatically activates the Dolby Atmos license on Xbox Series consoles. The PlayStation edition, on the other hand, offers support for the Tempest 3D audio technology.

The headset comes with a USB-C dongle that supports ultra-low latency sound with an audio connection of up to 24bit and 96kHz. That quality can also be achieved via wired USB-C mode. Audeze has equipped the wireless headphones with Bluetooth 5.3 LE, which means that the headset supports multipoint. The Maxwell can also handle the LC3, LC3plus, LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs.

The device has 90mm drivers with a frequency response between 10Hz and 50kHz. Audeze installed a detachable boom microphone on the headset and equipped the headphones with a 5-microphone array for noise reduction. There is also an AI filter that should filter out noise during calls, so that voice sounds even clearer.
