Asus Zenbook Pro UX550 with Kaby Lake and GTX 1050 Ti appears at webshop

A Danish online store has included the Asus Zenbook Pro UX550 in its product database. The 2 cm thick 15.6 “laptop has a Core i7-7700HQ in combination with a GTX 1050 Ti. Earlier it appeared that the laptop will have thin screen edges.

The Danish online store FComputer presents a variant of the Asus UX550 with 8GB DDR4 and 256GB SSD and a variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The laptop also has the Core i7-7700HQ quadcore from Intel’s Kaby Lake generation and the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti from Nvidia, which has 4GB gddr5. Nvidia announced this GPU, which is used for relatively cheap gaming laptops, at the beginning of this year.

The dimensions of the laptop are 36.7 x 25.1 cm and the Zenbook Pro is 1.89 cm thick. The UX 550 won the Taiwan Excellence Award at the beginning of this year and from the image presented at the time it was clear that the 15.6 “laptop has thin screen bezels. The resolution of the screen is 1920×1080 pixels. Asus was expected to use the UX550 at the MWC trade show in Barcelona but it didn’t, FComputer is now quoting a June 8 delivery date for the laptop.

The version with 8GB and 256-ssd has a price of 11,612 Danish kroner, converted 1560 euros, the one with 16GB and 512GB ssd costs 14,162 Danish kroner, or 1902 euros.
