ASUS Vivobook Pro laptops get 120Hz 14″, 15.6″ and 16″ OLED panels
ASUS introduces new versions of its Vivobook Pro 14X, 15X and 16X. These models are equipped with OLED screens with high resolutions and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The laptops get the latest Intel and AMD CPUs and GPUs up to the RTX 3070 Ti.
The Vivobook Pro 16X has a 16″ OLED panel with a 16:10 ratio and a resolution of 3200×2000 pixels. The 15X has a 15.6″ panel with a 16:9 ratio and a resolution of 2880×1620 pixels. The Vivobook Pro 14X contains a 14.5″ panel with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels, good for a 16:10 ratio. All models have a refresh rate of 120Hz. Previous generations of OLED screens for laptops went up to a maximum of 90Hz.
ASUS provides the new Vivobook Pro models with Intel Alder Lake processors and Ryzen 6000 variants. The Pro 16X gets a Core i9-H or Ryzen 6900HX at most. With the Intel version you can choose up to an RTX 3070 Ti and with the AMD version that is a maximum of an RTX 3070. In both cases this is a major upgrade compared to the RTX 3050 Ti, with which the previous model could be used to the maximum. equipped.
The smaller Vivobook Pro 14X has up to an RTX 3050 Ti video card and is only available as an Intel version, with up to a Core i9-12900H. The 15X has options similar to the largest model, but a smaller battery and up to an RTX 3070.
ASUS presented the Vivobooks at its own event, which also featured new Zenbook Pro models. That concerns the Zenbook Pro 16X and Zenbook Pro 14 DUO OLED. When the new Vivobooks and Zenbooks will be released and what they will cost has not yet been announced.
