Asus to release TUF Gaming laptops FX505 and FX705 in December
Asus will release its FX505 and FX705 gaming laptops in the Benelux in December. There will be one configuration of both the 15.6″ version and the 17.3″ version. The large model has a GTX 1050, the smaller version gets a GTX 1060 and a 144Hz panel.
Both laptops get the Core i7-8750H processor and 16GB of RAM. It has a 1TB HDD and the FX505 gets a 128GB SSD, while the FX705 has a 256GB SSD. In both cases Asus uses an nvme SSD. The laptops have a keyboard with RGB lighting.
The biggest difference is in the video card and the screen. The FX505 has a 144Hz IPS panel and a GTX 1060 GPU. Asus puts a 60Hz IPS panel and a GTX 1050 video card in the FX705 version for the Benelux. Both screens have a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.
Asus gives the 17.3″ model a suggested retail price of 1399 euros and the 15.6″ version will cost 1479 euros. This makes the FX505 model almost as expensive as the Hero Strix II laptop that is already on sale. That version has almost the same hardware, but a different housing and is placed in the higher-ranking Republic of Gamers series from Asus.
