Asus temporarily shows new Zenfone 4 series on website
Asus has briefly shown four new smartphones in the Zenfone 4 series, so that most specifications have become known. The ‘basic’ model has a 5.5″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, and has a Snapdragon 630 processor.
The smartphones in question were shown on a French Asus website, but were taken offline after discovery. However, Android Pure and the German site Winfuture collected the information from the four devices and put it on their website. These are the Zenfone 4, the Zenfone 4 Max, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro; the latter two smartphones are very similar in appearance.
The base model, the Zenfone 4, is a mid-range model that has a 5.5″ screen with full HD resolution. The built-in Snapdragon 630-soc is accompanied by 4GB ram and 64GB storage. The battery has a capacity of 3300mAh, and the rear and front cameras are respectively 12 megapixels and 8 megapixels.According to the data on the French Asus website, the smartphone will cost 500 euros.
The Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro are, as the name suggests, intended for taking photos. A dual front camera is built in for this; the regular Selfie has a 20- and 8-megapixel camera, while the Pro variant includes a 24- and 5-megapixel camera. Both devices also have a flash on the front. On the back, both smartphones have a 16-megapixel camera.
The Pro variant is the fastest of the two smartphones, with a Snapdragon 625-soc, while the regular variant has to make do with a Snapdragon 430. The Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro also has a 5.5″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, and the regular version has a 5.5″ IPS screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The price is 300 euros for the regular version, while a surcharge of 100 euros applies for the Pro version.
Finally, there is the Zenfone 4 Max, which despite the name has the smallest screen of the four with a diagonal of 5.2 “. The battery has a capacity of 4100mAh and there is 3GB of ram on board. For storage there is 32GB available. It is also the cheapest smartphone from the new series, with a stated price of 230 euros.
Incidentally, Asus has already released a smartphone in the Zenfone 4 series; it is about the Zenfone 4 Max, which came on the market in Russia. However, it has slightly different specifications than the version that has now been leaked. For example, the screen is 5.5″ larger, and the battery with 5000mAh has more capacity.
It is also not the first time that Asus has released something early about the Zenfone 4 series. In a message on Twitter, the manufacturer already revealed the arrival of the new smartphone model. Presumably, the Zenfone 4 will be officially announced on September 21.
