Asus shows monitors and desktop for gamers
Asus comes with several new products in its Republic of Gamers series. The manufacturer unveiled a 24″ and 28″ monitor with the UHD resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. In addition, the company presented the ROG GT51 desktop for gamers.
Asus is expanding the MG Series of displays with the MG28UQ and the MG24UQ, featuring a 28″ and a 24″ display respectively. The MG28UQ has a tn panel and a response time of 1ms. The MG24UQ has an IPS panel for, among other things, better viewing angles, but the response time will be higher with this type of panel. Both displays support VESA’s Adaptive Sync to prevent stuttering and image tearing. Asus has not yet released more details about the screens.
The ROG GT51 is a desktop computer that comes in various configurations. The processor is in any case the Intel Core i7-6700K and the case can accommodate up to two GeForce GTX Titan cards. These are visible through the transparent window on the side and the interior can be illuminated with eight million colors with the built-in LEDs. Asus has placed a USB 3.1-c interface on the front panel that offers a throughput of 10Gbit/s. The prices and availability date of this desktop are also unknown.
