ASUS ROG Azoth gaming keyboard gets interchangeable switches and gasket mount
ASUS is showing off a new ROG Azoth keyboard at CES. This 75% keyboard will have interchangeable switches, a small OLED screen and a housing with a gasket mount. The ROG Azoth will be available at the end of January.
It ASUS ROG Azothkeyboard gets a 75% design, where the entire numpad is missing and the right side of the keyboard has been shortened even further. The keyboard comes with ROG NX switches, which come pre-lubed from the factory. ROG Azoth also features hot swap sockets, making it compatible with other MX-style switches. ASUS itself offers blue, brown and red switches, respectively with clicky, tactile and linear typing feel. The keyboard also comes with pbt keycaps, which ASUS says have a ‘cherry-like’ profile.
The keyboard has a small 2″ OLED screen. That display can be set via the ASUS Armory Crate to show, among other things, custom animations, in addition to things like the CPU temperature or the battery level of the keyboard. The keyboard can connect to a PC via bluetooth, a 2.4 GHz connection or USB-C. The keyboard housing also contains a silicone gasket mount with three layers of foam that should provide a dampened typing experience. ASUS does not mention a suggested retail price.
