Asus releases Windows 8.1 laptop for 199 euros
Asus has announced a new laptop with the Eee designation. The 11.6″ laptop contains an Atom quadcore and Windows 8.1 ‘with Bing’. Asus is launching the EeeBook X205 for a price of 199 euros.
The EeeBook X205 has an 11.6″ screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and the Atom Z3735 from Intel: a quad-core with a maximum clock speed of 1.83GHz, which is widely used for tablets. In addition, there is 2GB of RAM and Asus has for emmc -flash storage chosen instead of a hdd: there is a choice of 32GB or 64GB storage memory.
The new Eee laptop, with which Asus breathes new life into the designation for netbooks, also contains two USB 2.0 ports, micro HDMI, a micro SD card slot and support for WiFi-n and Bluetooth 4.0. The thickness is 17.5 mm and the weight is 980 grams.
Asus claims that the battery life for web browsing is 12 hours, with a battery capacity of 38Whr. The manufacturer releases the budget laptop in the colors black, white, gold and red. The price of the Windows 8.1 with Bing laptop is 199 euros, with which Microsoft fulfills its promise that cheap laptops will come with its OS to compete with Chromebooks.
