Asus releases ROG Strix renditions of RX 5700 and 5700XT on August 16
Asus has announced five RX 5700 cards with its own coolers. The RX 5700 and 5700XT come with ROG Strix and TUF Gaming X3 versions. The fifth card is an RX 5700 in the Dual Evo series. The ROG maps will be released on August 16, the rest will follow later.
Asus sets its ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700XT to a base clock of 1770MHz, the Game Clock is 1905MHz and the boost clock is according to the specifications 2010MHz. AMD’s reference model has clock speeds of 1605MHz, 1755MHz and 1905MHz respectively. In particular, the Game Clock, the speed that the card should achieve during prolonged gaming, is considerably higher with the Asus version. The clock speeds of the other cards have not yet been announced.
Asus gives all its RX 5700 cards one hdmi 2.0b connection and three displayport 1.4 connections. The ROG Strix versions are equipped with a thick cooling block, three fans and RGB lighting with Aura sync support. The TUF Gaming models are also equipped with three fans. Asus has not yet released images of the Dual Radeon RX 5700 Evo. The card supposedly looks the same as previous Dual Evo cards from the manufacturer. The cooler in that series has two fans.
The ROG Strix versions will go on sale August 16, according to Asus, and the TUF Gaming X3 versions should follow on August 23. The Dual Evo variant will be released on August 30. It is not yet known what the suggested retail prices are.
