Asus releases Chromebox 3 with Core i7 quadcore in the Benelux in July

Asus has announced that the Chromebox 3 will be available in the Benelux in July. There will be several variants of the compact desktop PC with Chrome OS, including models with a Core i7 quad-core.

With which processors the Chromebox 3 will appear exactly, Asus itself does not yet know, but the American web store Bhphotovideo already reports it on its site. Four models will appear, the cheapest of which is the version with Intel Celeron dual-core, which is available in the webshop for 239 dollars, converted and with VAT 248 euros. The most expensive version is the one with Core i7-8550U quad-core, with an American price of $ 699, converted and with VAT that is 725 euros. It is not known whether this will also be the euro prices.

According to Asus, the user can equip the system with a maximum of 16GB DDR4-2400 and an M2 SSD of 256GB. The Chromebox 3 has five USB 3.0 ports and one of type-c. There is also a microSD card reader. The PC also has an HDMI and an Ethernet port. The system supports the Play Store, Asus promises, to run Android apps.
