Asus releases Broadwell-E update for X99 motherboards
Following MSI and ASRock, Asus has also released the bios update that brings Broadwell-E support to the company’s X99 motherboards. Users can install the update through two Asus tools.
The update is immediately available worldwide. Asus has released a list of motherboards that will receive a bios update. Users can choose which of two tools to use for the update. Usb Bios Flashback ensures that the eufi-bios update is put on a USB stick and after pressing the Bios Flashback or ROG Connect button on the motherboard, the installation follows. Alternatively, they can update the software from USB stick via the EZ Flash 2 bios feature.
Intel will make the 14nm Broadwell-E processors available for overclockers and demanding users soon. The most powerful of the 14nm chips is the Core i7-6950X decacore clocked at 3GHz and boosted to a maximum of 3.5GHz.
