Asus provides laptop with water cooling
Asus has announced new laptops for gamers at IFA in Berlin, including one that will be combined with water cooling. According to the company, it is the first laptop to be water-cooled. Asus equips the ROG GX700 with an Intel Skylake processor and Nvidia GeForce GPU.
Asus announced three Republic of Gamers laptops. The GX700 is the model with water cooling, but Asus did not disclose many details. In any case, it is a laptop with a 17″ screen that shows a 4k resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The processor is the Intel Core i7-6820HK of the Skylake generation, which was announced on Wednesday morning. It has an unlocked multiplier and in In combination with the water cooling, a significant overclock should be possible.From the render image that Asus released, it can be concluded that it is an external water cooling set.
According to Asus, this is the first time, but in the past there have been examples of laptops with water cooling, such as from Hitachi in 2002. In 2000, Toshiba already had something similar and Asetek also experimented with water cooling for laptops in 2012.
The ROG G752, which Asus also announced at IFA, is a high-end 17.3″ laptop that includes an illuminated keyboard and a striking grille on the back. Asus equips the laptop with Intel Skylake processors and GTX 900M graphics cards. There will be versions with a Core i7-6700HQ, but optionally the company will release the G752 with a Core i7-6820HK. The successor to the G751 will also be available with a GeForce GTX 965M, 970M or 980M and the screen resolution is 1920×1080 pixels, but there will also be a model with 3840×2160 pixels.The storage is provided by an NVme SSD in combination with a traditional 2TB HDD.The weight of all this is 4 to 4.36 kilos, depending on the configuration Asus hasn’t announced pricing yet.
