Asus presents ROG Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard for gamers
Asus is announcing a new edition of its ROG motherboards in the form of the Rampage V Edition 10, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the ROG line. The motherboard is equipped with an lga-2011-v3 socket and offers an integrated I/O shield.
The latter should, among other things, lead to easier installation, Asus reports. Furthermore, the motherboard is based on an X99 chipset and allows users to choose colors through five independent LED zones. These can be controlled using the Aura software. In addition, there is a separate RGB header.
Further customization of the motherboard is possible, because users can 3D print ‘accent pieces’ themselves and add them to the board. Asus reports that the 3D source files can be downloaded from the ROG website, but nothing is there at the time of writing.
The board offers a number of options to assist overclockers, Asus says, including a voltage regulator module and software to configure the fans, in addition to the separate headers for water cooling. In addition, it is equipped with two gigabit Ethernet connections and reinforced PCI-e connections to handle GPUs with heavy coolers.
There are also options for connecting U2 and M2 devices, in addition to four USB 3.1 connections, two of which have USB-C connections. There is also support for 3×3 WiFi and Bluetooth, and an external DAC is available. Asus mentions 599 dollars as the price, which is converted 537 euros without VAT. It is unknown when the motherboard will be available.
