Asus launches 15.6-inch laptop with a flip-up touchscreen
Photos and specifications have appeared on the site of the American FCC site that indicate the arrival of a 15.6 “laptop from Asus, whose screen can be tilted 360 degrees for a tablet mode. Asus has never released a such a 2-in-1 hybrid.
Asus has already experimented a lot with crosses between tablet and laptop, such as with the Transformer series, and now it seems that a model has been added that has a folding touchscreen, just like Lenovo’s Yoga. Photos and specifications of such an Asus model have appeared on the site of the American inspection body FCC.
According to the data, the Asus TP500L has an Intel Haswell CPU, 4GB of RAM and a combination of HDD and SSD. The battery capacity is 48Whr. It is striking that there is only one USB 3.0 port in addition to two more USB 2.0 variants. Lilliputing speculates that the TP500L could therefore become relatively cheap. The screen resolution is still unknown, as are other details such as the price. Asus may announce the laptop during the Computex fair, which will take place in Taiwan at the beginning of June.
