Asus laptops with Kaby Lake quadcores appear online – update
At various web stores, laptops from Asus have appeared in the range that have Intel Kaby Lake quadcores. The laptops should be available this month.
The laptops have model numbers in the FX and G series of gaming laptops from Asus. They are equipped with the Core i5-7300HQ, i7-7700HQ and the i7-7820HK. These are the first quad-cores for laptops from Intel’s Kaby Lake generation. It is expected that Intel will announce this at the beginning of January during the CES in Las Vegas, but the web store 2compute.org lists delivery dates of this month for some models. Hardware.info has listed the list of Asus models. Prices range from less than 1000 euros to almost 4000 euros.
Update, 15.10: A showcase of the FX553VD was online with images of this laptop and some details. The keys are backlit red and offer 2.5mm travel. The screen is matte, shows a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and provides viewing angles of 178 degrees. The laptop can accommodate a maximum of 32GB DDR4.
