ASUS introduces Surface-like VivoBook 13 Slate with OLED display
ASUS will release the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED next year, a Windows 11 tablet with a detachable keyboard and a 13.3-inch FHD OLED screen. The device gets a Pentium N6000 processor and the screen has a built-in kickstand.
The touch-sensitive OLED screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, a 16:9 ratio and a maximum brightness of 550cd/m². It can display the entire DCI-P3 color space. There is also Dolby Vision support. The 2-in-1 comes with an ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus, with 4096 pressure levels, that can be magnetically attached to the device.
ASUS equips the VivoBook 13 Slate with an Intel Pentium N6000 processor. That is a 10nm quadcore with clock speeds of up to 3.3GHz. The Slate gets 4GB or 8GB Lpddr4x memory soldered to the motherboard and the storage consists of 128GB eMMC flash memory or a PCIe SSD of 128GB or 256GB.
Furthermore, the Windows tablet gets Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with Type C connection. They can also be used to control screens or to charge the device. The VivoBook also gets a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm combo jack. On the front is a 5-megapixel camera and on the back, the Slate has a 13-megapixel camera.
The tablet, which will receive model number T3300, has stereo speakers and a 50Wh battery. The dimensions are 310x190x8mm and the weight is 785g. ASUS says the VivoBook 13 Slate will be released in the first quarter of 2022. The suggested retail price has not yet been announced.
