Asus introduces Maximus IX Extreme motherboard with built-in waterblock
Asus has announced a new Z270 motherboard in its Republic of Gamers line. The board has a built-in water block, with which the processor, vrm and m.2 slot can be cooled.
According to Asus, the block is equipped with techniques to monitor the flow of water and guard against leaks. Thanks to the integration with the m.2 slot, a connected SSD can also be cooled. Furthermore, the motherboard is equipped with 4 slots for DDR4 memory at a maximum of 4133MHz. There are two m.2 connections, four PCI-e 3.0 connections and a USB 3.1 front connector is available.
The eatx motherboard also offers support for thunderbolt 3. In addition, there is bluetooth 4.1 and the motherboard has 2×2 mu-mimo wifi-ac and gigabit ethernet. Users should be able to determine the colors themselves using the necessary Aura Sync RGB LEDs. The board is equipped with various protection measures to prevent damage, for example the i/o-sheld is integrated.
The motherboard should be available this month for a price of about seven hundred euros.
