Asus gives Zenbooks and Vivobooks ScreenPads and releases anniversary leather model
Asus will release new Vivobook and Zenbook models during the Computex, equipped with ScreenPads, or touchpads in which a screen is processed. The manufacturer is also releasing an anniversary laptop, with a leather casing and a rose gold logo.
The Zenbook 13, 14 and 15, which Asus introduced in 2018, will receive successors in the form of the UX334, UX434 and UX534. The biggest change is the option for the ScreenPad 2.0, which incorporates a 5.65″ IPS LCD with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels in the touchpad. Until now, that was reserved for the more expensive Pro models. ScreenPad has also been modified compared to the previous generation, which needed the second Nvidia GPU.The ScreenPad 2.0 works on the more economical Intel GPU, which is good news for the battery life.The ScreenPad can be used in combination with certain apps made for it, but can also be used as a second screen.
The Zenbooks are also equipped with new video cards, depending on the model, it is a GeForce MX250 or GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU. The processor is a Core i5-8265U or Core i7-8565U and there is a maximum of 16GB of memory. The SSD is a maximum of 1TB and the batteries of the Zenbook 13 and 14 have a capacity of 50Wh, while the Zenbook 15 has room for a 71Wh battery.
