ASUS denies that it is discontinuing Zenfone smartphones
ASUS denies in a press release that the company will stop making Zenfone smartphones. Various media wrote this week that the company would stop making these smartphones after the Zenfone 10 and would only focus on ROG devices.
Company writes: “We would like to address a rumor that the ASUS Zenfone 10 is the last generation in this series and that the Zenfone product line will be discontinued. This is not true.” ASUS calls the ROG Phone and Zenfone devices its two main smartphone product lines. The company will continue with this for the time being and says it will soon announce the devices for 2024.
The rumors about the discontinuation of the Zenfone series were initially brought by the Taiwanese TechNews, which reported, based on a person involved, that the Zenfone division would be closed down. The recently launched Zenfone 10 is said to be the last smartphone under this sub-brand. ASUS officially announced a restructuring in June this year and according to the same source, the ROG and Zenfone teams will be merged. ASUS has not yet provided a definitive answer on this.
