Asus has introduced the MG248QE, a gamer-oriented monitor with a screen diagonal of 24″ and equipped with a tn panel with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The screen has a refresh rate of 144Hz.

The MG248QE has more specifications that make it clear that it is a gaming monitor, such as a gray-to-gray response time of 1ms and the support of FreeSync, which prevents stuttering and tearing. The FreeSync range is quite wide and is between 40 and 144Hz.

Furthermore, Asus has added the GamePlus display options, for example to be able to use crosshair overlay or fps counters. In addition, there is a mode that should reduce blue light, which should ensure less eyestrain. In addition to the fast response time, the manufacturer reports that the monitor keeps the motion blur of moving objects very low, making them look sharper.

As far as connections are concerned, in addition to displayport 1.2, the screen has HDMI 1.4 and a DVI-D connection. Asus has equipped the monitor with flicker-free technology, which should make it more pleasant for the eyes to look at the screen at high refresh rates.

The manufacturer has not yet announced when the monitor will be released and how much it will cost, but it is probably an entry-level model.
