Asus announces Zen AiO 27 with wireless charging base
Asus has announced the Zen AiO 27. The all-in-one PC rests on a large stand in which all ports are incorporated. It also has a surface to wirelessly charge smartphones based on the Qi standard.
The Zen AiO 27 has a touch-sensitive 27 “screen with 4k resolution, which can display one hundred percent of the srgb color space. The processor is the Core i7-8700T from Intel and there is 16GB ddr4 and a duo of storage media: a hdd of 2TB and a PCI-e SSD of 512GB The RAM and storage are easy to access for upgrades The graphics card is the GeForce GTX 1050 from Nvidia and it doesn’t seem to be replaced.
A surface for wireless charging via the Qi standard is incorporated in the large standard, but also all ports. Among them are a USB 3.1 type-c port with Thunderbolt 3 support, three USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, HDMI in and out, a Gigabit Ethernet connection and a 2-in-1 card reader. The Zen AIO 27 also supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0.
Asus has announced the all-in-one for the US market with a suggested retail price of $2,000. Whether there will be a European release and for what price that would be is unknown. In the Benelux, Asus has so far only sparsely released all-in-one PCs.
