Asus announces compact GTX 960 for mini-itx systems
Asus has announced a GTX 960 video card with a length of seventeen centimeters. The Taiwanese manufacturer is targeting the GTX 960 Mini for use with mini-itx motherboards and other small form factor computers.
The GTX 960 Mini appeared last week at various European web stores and Asus has now given this card its own product page. The GTX960-MOC-2GD has dimensions of 17×12.2×4. centimeters. The GPU clock speed is 1190MHz, with a boost speed of 1253MHz. This means that the card is slightly overclocked, because the reference speeds of the GTX 960 are 1126 and 1178MHz respectively. The 2GB gddr5 memory effectively runs at 7GHz.
The card is also equipped with dvi, hdmi and three displayport 1.2 connections. Asus does not mention the price of the GTX 960 Mini yet, but German and Austrian websites list the compact card with prices from around 240 to 260 euros. It’s not Asus’ first video card for mini-itx systems. A GTX 670 Mini, a GTX 760 Mini and a GTX 970 Mini have already been released. Nvidia announced the GeForce GTX 960 on January 22.
