Astro Gaming has presented the fourth generation of its A50 Wireless Gaming Headset with Base Station. The new headphones should perform better in terms of sound, wireless range and charging comfort, among other things.

To improve the sound quality, Astro provided the A50 Wireless Gaming Headset with new drivers and the wireless radio technology was also updated. According to the manufacturer, the fourth generation A50 is also optimized for room-filling audio, such as Dolby Atmos. The accompanying base station is said to have very low latency and should also make pairing and charging the headset easier.

Astro Gaming provides the Astro Command Center software with the A50 headset, which allows the user to adjust the audio mix and sound profiles as desired. There are also three equalizer presets: a general Astro mode, Pro for more detail in the mids and highs, and a Studio mode for movies and music.

Gamers can upgrade the Astro A50 with the optional A50 Mod Kit for added comfort and isolation from ambient noise. With this Mod Kit, the headband and ear pads are made of leather. By the way, the previous generation A50 Mod Kit is not compatible with the new headset.

The Astro A50 Wireless Gaming Headset with Base will be available in August in Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. Both headsets are also compatible with Windows PCs. The suggested retail price of the new headset is 319 euros.
