Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also be released for the new console generation at the end of 2020

Ubisoft released the first trailer for its new game in the Assassin’s Creed series on Thursday. The company also announced that the game will be released at the end of this year for Xbox One Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Google Stadia.

Four editions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released in the fall of this year and Ubisoft has already put the pre-order page online. In addition to a standard game-only version, there will be a bundle with the season pass that, among other things, adds a new story mission immediately upon release. In addition, there will be an Ultimate Pack with extra items and a collector’s edition.

For PC, the game will be available on the Epic Store and Ubisoft Store. The company is not yet reporting anything about a coming to Steam or other PC platforms. Pre-orders are already available for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. Not yet for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. For PC, a physical version is only available as part of the Collectors Edition.

The trailer that Ubisoft publishes shows cinematic images including a Viking village, rituals, ships and battles. Next Thursday, Microsoft will show the first gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla from the Xbox One Series X. While that First Look event gameplay footage from other titles for Microsoft’s new consoles will also be featured.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla revolves around Eivor, a Viking warrior from Norway who invades shattered ninth century England with his clan to conquer land and establish a settlement. Ubisoft points to the presence of RPG mechanisms that allow choices during battles and conversations to influence your further path in the game.

In the game, players can customize and expand their settlement to include barracks, a blacksmith shop, and a tattoo shop. In addition, you can launch raids and surprise attacks on Saxon armies and fortresses, deploying Viking mercenaries created by you or created by other players.

Ubisoft announced the game on Wednesday. The game comes from Ubisoft Montréal but a total of fourteen different studios around the world worked on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
