Assassin’s Creed: Pirates coming to Windows and Windows Phone next week
Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed: Pirates next week for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. The game was previously released as an application for iOS and Android and as a demo for internet browsers.
Ubisoft left via Twitter that the game will be released next Thursday for Windows and Windows Phone. The publisher has not yet given more details, but they will probably be announced in the course of next week.
In Assassin’s Creed: Pirates, the player takes on the role of Captain Alonza Batilla and sails through the Caribbean to collect as many treasures as possible. The app is already available for iOS and Android, for 4.49 euros.
Microsoft and Ubisoft jointly released a demo in May that can be played in internet browsers, which served as a teaser for Windows Phone. The demo was created using Babylon.js, an open source JavaScript framework that allows developers to build 3D games for HTML 5 and WebGL.
