ASRock Releases X370 BIOS With AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU Support
ASRock is the first manufacturer to release a bios for a 300 series motherboard with support for Ryzen 5000 CPUs. The new bios can be downloaded and the list of supported CPUs has been updated on the ASRock website.
It is the first bios in the 300 series to support the Ryzen 5000 CPU. ASRock has added the CPUs to the list of supported CPUs for the X370. The list includes support for the Ryzen 5950X, 5900X, 5800X, 5900, 5900X, and the 5600X. The BIOS update was discovered by the Japanese hardware twitterer Komachi Ensaka and it confirms using the System Management Unit Checker that the new CPUs are supported.
ASRock says users must first update the bios to version P7.10 before the CPUs are supported. AMD has turned off support for the Athlon X4 900-series CPUs and A-apus in the same update to make room for the Ryzen 5000 series. In addition to the Ryzen 5000 series, various Ryzen 4000G CPUs are also supported from this bios version.
