ASRock makes one liter mini PC for Ryzen AM4 apus

ASRock introduces the Jupiter X300, a 178x178x34mm mini PC with a custom AM4 motherboard for AMD Ryzen APUs. According to the manufacturer, the mini PC can be equipped with APUs with a TDP up to 65W.

The ASRock Jupiter X300 is a barebone PC complete with cooling block and built-in fan. According to the manufacturer, the system is capable of cooling 65W APUs from the AMD Ryzen 4000G, 3000G and 2000G series. The motherboard is custom-made for the chassis and uses AMD’s X300 chipset, which is only available to system builders and is not available on individual motherboards.

The motherboard and case offer space for two DDR4 bars of the SO-DIMM format, a 2.5″ SSD or HDD with a maximum height of 9.5mm and a PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD from the M.2 2280- There is also an M.2 slot for a WiFi module.

It is possible to connect up to three screens simultaneously to the Jupiter X300. The HDMI 2.0 port and DisplayPort connection both support 4k displays at 60Hz. The D-sub connection goes up to 1920×1080 pixels at 60Hz. ASRock provides the box with eight USB connections. It concerns six USB 3.0 connections, of which two Type-C and two USB 2.0 connections. When the mini PC will be released and what the suggested retail price is, ASRock has not disclosed.
