ASRock is going to make video cards – update
Motherboard manufacturer ASRock is said to be planning to make video cards. According to the Taiwanese newspaper DigiTimes, the brand will present its first cards in April and ASRock would mainly focus on AMD video cards.
DigiTimes bases its reporting on market watchers. It is not clear how likely it is that the rumor is true. No concrete indications have yet been found that ASRock comes with video cards. However, the Taiwanese newspaper generally has good sources and information when it comes to domestic manufacturers.
ASRock is mainly known for motherboards, mini PCs and server equipment. The company was created in 2002 from a spin-off of Asus. The company is doing good business with motherboard sales due to the popularity of crypto mining, according to DigiTimes. This may be a reason for the manufacturer to also focus on video cards.
Update: A spokesperson for ASRock has confirmed to Hardware.Info that the rumor is true and that the company will indeed make video cards.
