ASRock Introduces 12x11cm Mini PC With Embedded AMD Ryzen CPU

ASRock releases the ASRock 4X4 BOX-R1000, a compact 11.85x11cm PC with an AMD Ryzen Embedded R1000 processor. The small desktop PC does not have passive cooling.

The exact dimensions of the ASRock 4X4 BOX-R1000 are 11×11.85×6.73cm and the weight is 700 grams. This makes the mini PC a lot smaller than the ASRock iBOX-R1000, which measures 17.18x15x6.98mm and also contains an AMD Ryzen Embedded R processor. However, that PC is passively cooled and that is not the case with the BOX-R1000.

ASRock supplies the PC with an AMD Ryzen Embedded R1505G and R1606G dual-core with Radeon Vega 3 GPU. The motherboard is the 4X4-V1000 from ASRock itself. The computer supports up to 32GB DDR4-2400 and has connections for HDMI and two displayport cables. In addition, there are a USB 3.1 and two USB 2.0 ports on the front and two USB 3.1 interfaces on the back. Two Ethernet cables can also be connected to the back. Thanks to a VESA connection, the PC can be attached to the back of a monitor. A price has not yet been announced.
