Armored Core 6 will be released at the end of September

Game website Exputer claims FromSoftware will release Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon in September or October 2023. According to Exputer, the FromSoftware wants to release the game before the new Elden Ring DLC ​​comes on the market.

According to the editors of Exputer it is more likely that the sixth part of Armored Core will be released towards the end of September, instead of October. According to the website, this planning can still change if problems arise during development.

At the beginning of last year, the first rumors about a new Armored Core game surfaced. A user of the ResetEra forum then received a survey from FromSoftware containing screenshots, movies and questions about a new sci-fi game in which players control a mech. The video footage reportedly showed a boss fight that the user claimed was reminiscent of Dark Souls.

In the summer of 2022, FromSoftware CEO Hidetaka Myazaki then told that the company has been working on a game since 2016. This game would have been “in the final stages of development” at the time. At the end of last year, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco finally published a trailer from Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon.

Armored Core is a series of mech action games, the first installment of which was released on PlayStation by FromSoftware in 1997. More than ten games have now been published in the series, the last part of which was released in 2013. Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, X, Xbox One and PC. FromSoftware has not yet officially commented on the rumors.
