‘Arma Reforger is coming to PC and consoles as a stepping stone to Arma 4’
A comprehensive document has appeared online detailing Arma Reforger. That is a shooter from Bohemia Interactive, made with the Enfusion engine, which will also be used for Arma 4. Reforger is presented as a stepping stone to that future game.
Unlike previous Arma games, Arma Reforger is coming to both consoles and PC. Initially there will be an Xbox version and later there will also be a PlayStation version, it says in the document Which via reddit has appeared online. The marketing document describes the game and its purpose. It also contains all kinds of material for the promotion of the game. This shows, among other things, that the game is coming to Steam.
According to the document, the Arma community is eagerly awaiting the announcement of Arma 4. That game is already known to be made with Bohemia’s new Enfusion engine. As a foretaste, the studio will release Arma Reforger. With this title Arma should become known to a wider audience, partly due to its appearance on consoles.
Arma Reforger will be a ‘military simulation game’ instead of a ‘simulator’, the document describes. The game should offer tactically deep gameplay, yet be accessible to a wide audience. The game is set in an alternate reality in 1989. It revolves around battles between the United States and the Soviet Union on the island of Everon in the Atlantic Ocean.
The official announcement of Arma Reforger will probably follow Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the presentation ‘the future of Arma‘, which will be featured on Twitch.
