Archos is releasing a shock-resistant 5G phone with 8000mAh battery for 649 euros
Archos has announced the X67 5G, the brand’s first impact-resistant 5G phone. The phone has an 8000mAh battery, can operate underwater for 30 minutes, and is resistant to dust, sand, high pressure and shock, according to the manufacturer.
The ruggedized phone has an IP68 / 69K certification for dust and water resistance and can therefore function under water for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 meters. The maker says that the phone is therefore suitable for underwater photography. The screen is made of Gorilla glass 5, must be able to survive falls from a height of 1.2 meters, and is scratch resistant.
The Archos X67 5G has a 6.7 “screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. There are four cameras on the back of the smartphone. The primary camera has a resolution of 48 megapixels and f/1.79 lens from Sony. a 13-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of 124 degrees, a 2-megapixel camera with the macro lens, and a 2-megapixel camera with depth lens The camera shoot stabilized videos at 4k resolution at 30fps.
The shockproof phone has a battery with a considerable capacity of 8000mAh. According to Archos, the phone with this battery lasts two to three days without charging. The phone comes with an 18W fast charger.
Inside the X67 5G is also a MediaTek Dimensity 800-soc with four Cortex A76 cores at 2GHz and four Cortex A55 cores at 2GHz, coupled with 8GB Lpddr4x memory and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. There is also an ARM NATT MC4 GPU. The X67 5G comes with two nano-sim slots, both suitable for 5G. The phone runs stock Android 10.
The X67 5G has a large housing of 178×83.4 millimeters with a thickness of 17.6 millimeters. The phone weighs 380 grams. Archos is marketing the smartphone in collaboration with subsidiary Logic Instrument, which makes more shock-resistant mobile devices. The phone will cost around EUR 649.
