Apple will only accept apps made with Xcode 13 from the end of April

From April 25, Apple will only accept iOS, iPadOS and watchOS apps in the App Store that are made with Xcode 13. That version was released in September last year and contains the SDKs for iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8.

By requiring Xcode 13, all new apps added to the App Store from April will be compatible with the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS. However, older versions remain supported as well.

With the use of Xcode 13, developers can access the new features of iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8. According to Apple, it also has the potential to improve performance. Apple released the first version of Xcode 13 in September last year. The development toolkit has now reached version 13.3. That update appeared on March 14.
