Apple updates Apple TV interface in new beta
Apple gives its media player Apple TV a polished interface in a test version of new software. The interface is now more in line with other Apple software, such as iOS, with newly designed icons and a thinner font.
The polished interface came with a new test version of the software Monday night, 9to5 Mac noted. The innovations include the icons, which have been brought more in line with those of iOS and OS X.
The innovations come as a surprise; in previous betas, Apple TV still had the same interface as before, and Apple had not announced the changes. The test version is currently only for developers, but later this year the software with the new appearance should come to all Apple TVs via an update.
