Apple TV app is available for Chromecast with Google TV

The Apple TV app has been made available worldwide on the Chromecast with Google TV. Later, the app will also come to other devices with Android TV, but when is not yet known. Via the app it is possible to watch the streaming service Apple TV+.

At the end of last year, Google already announced that the Apple TV app would be released for the Chromecast with Google TV, but it was not yet clear when exactly that would happen. Google now reports that the app is available worldwide. Google says the app will also be coming to Google TVs from Sony and TCL, and to more Android TV devices in the coming months. Exactly when that will be is not yet clear.

The Google Chromecast with Google TV came out last year. The dongle has the same capabilities as the older Chromecast Ultra, but also the ability to install Android TV apps. The interface of Google TV comes via an update to televisions with Android TV.
