Apple Studio Display with 5k resolution, A13-soc and 12Mp webcam costs 1779 euros
Apple introduces a 27″ monitor with a 5k resolution of 5120×2880 pixels. The Apple Studio Display has a built-in webcam, an audio system with six speakers and an A13-soc to control camera and audio functions.
The Apple Studio Display has an aluminum housing and achieves a brightness of up to 600cd/m², Apple says. Integrated into the monitor is a 12-megapixel webcam with an ultra-wide angle lens. Microphones and speakers are also built in and Apple gives the monitor the A13-soc for processing images and sound. This allows the computing power of a connected Mac to be fully utilized for other tasks.
The screen supports Apple’s True Tone technology for adapting the image display to the ambient light and, according to Apple, can display the P3 color space. On the back of the monitor are four USB-C connections, one with Thunderbolt 3 support.
