Apple sets up exchange program for AirPods Pro with technical problems

Apple is going to replace AirPods Pro with certain technical flaws, even if there is no longer a warranty. If the earplugs make a crackling sound or noise, or if the active noise cancellation is not working properly, users can go to Apple.

The affected AirPods Pro have a manufacturing date of no later than September 2020. According to the company, it is a “small percentage” that “may” be affected by this problem. The company does not provide exact figures. Affected users can go to Apple itself, but also to Apple authorized repair centers.

Apple released the AirPods with active noise canceling just over a year ago for 279 euros. It was the first AirPods design with anc. In the meantime, the earbuds have also received support for automatic switching between Apple devices and for spatial audio. According to rumors, the design of the AirPods will be overhauled in the next generation.
