Apple releases iOS 8.1.3 with storage bug fix
Apple released a new iOS version for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on Tuesday. The release, which is numbered 8.1.3, addresses issues such as an issue that caused too much storage space to be used to install software updates.
Like the previous version, which fixed purchased ringtones spontaneously disappearing, the third update mainly contains bug fixes. In addition, the release provides more stability and improved performance, Apple claims.
The changelog states that the update resolves, among other things, the problem that software updates could not always be installed due to insufficient storage space. Apple says there is now less room for software improvements. In addition, iOS 8.1.3 includes a fix for the issue that prevented some users from entering their Apple ID password for Messages and FaceTime.
iOS 8.1.3 is Apple’s first update to its mobile operating system for this year. Version 8 can only be installed on iPhone 4S, iPad 2, and fifth generation iPod Touch or later.
