Apple releases iOS 14.8. What’s new?

While everyone is waiting for iOS 15, Apple will soon release another update: iOS 14.8 has been released tonight. It is the successor to iOS 14.7.1.

What’s new?

While the name might suggest otherwise (due to the addition of the new number 8) iOS 14.8 is a minor update with no noticeable new features. It’s not clear why Apple didn’t just stick with iOS 14.7.2. Apple hasn’t even released a beta for this update, which is exceptional.

Download iOS 14.8

Downloading iOS 14.8 is free. Soon the red update ball will automatically appear in the Settings app, but you can already download the update yourself. You download and install it via ‘Settings>General>Software Update’. Make sure you are on a Wi-Fi network and that your battery is sufficiently charged or that your iPhone or iPad is connected to the power.
