Apple releases iOS 10 and macOS Sierra public betas
Apple released public betas of its iOS 10 mobile operating system and the OS for its Mac systems macOS Sierra on Thursday. The software versions for Apple devices were available to developers from early June.
If you want to try out the test versions of iOS 10 and macOS, you must register with Apple. The public beta versions of Apple’s operating systems can be downloaded from Thursday. Users should be aware that there may still be bugs in the software, as some test users already noted during the closed beta.
Apple has slightly changed the interface with menus and notifications in iOS 10. There is a new version of iMessage, where users can see previews of links and videos. In addition, Apple Music has been overhauled. Siri is available from iOS 10 in third-party apps and there is the Home app, to unite functions of equipment that works with its HomeKit SDK. In addition, there are improvements to Maps and Photos.

With macOS 10.12 Sierra, the most significant change, besides the name change, is the arrival of the digital assistant Siri to Mac computers. Furthermore, Apple Watch owners can unlock their macOS system by holding the Apple Watch nearby. Photos can automatically arrange images with the Memories feature. The software also supports Universal Clipboard, for copying and pasting across multiple systems, with synchronization via iCloud. MacOS Sierra will be released in its final version in the fall.
