Apple has ended the beta program for the web player of its music service Music. That means the web version is now final. The web player makes it possible to use Apple Music without an application.

The music.apple.com web page allows music service subscribers to play music without having to install an application. This also makes the software available to a larger number of people. During the beta, people still had to go to the url beta.music.apple.com.

The web version of Apple Music came out last year, but then came with a beta label, despite it already being available to all users. In total, the beta program lasted about six months. Competitors like Spotify already had a web player for playing music.
