Apple provides iOS 13 with dark mode
Apple gives users of the yet to be released iOS 13 the option to choose a dark mode. At least, that’s what the website 9to5Mac reports based on sources that are said to be familiar with the development of the new version of the operating system.
According to 9to5Mac, this is a system-wide dark mode that can be enabled in the device’s settings. This would be similar to an increased contrast version like the one already available on macOS. IPad apps running through Marzipan on Macs will get support for dark mode on both systems.
There will also be more innovations with iOS 13, including the ability for apps to handle different windows. These windows can be dragged and placed one above the other, as if they were cards. In addition, a new default gesture for undo when entering text will be introduced for the iPad. For that, the user has to use three fingers and drag to the left. There are also improvements for Safari and a new panel for managing the font. Apple has not yet confirmed that all of these are in the official version of iOS 13.
The company is expected to unveil the new version of the mobile operating system at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference on June 3.
