Apple product design chief moves to LoveFrom to make AI hardware

Tang Tan, head of product design at Apple, will move to Jony Ive’s design agency: LoveFrom in February. The designer could work there on new AI hardware from OpenAI.

Tan will according to Mark Gurman focus on future hardware of AI products, while OpenAI will take care of the software. The Bloomberg journalist was unable to say which specific hardware was involved, but he did mention rumors that refer to home equipment. That Tan would leave Apple was been known for some time. However, it was not clear until now what the designer’s further career plans were. Tang Tan was partly responsible for the design of the iPhone, the Apple Watch and AirPods.
